Who we are
idataraya is a Malaysian software company. We design, build and then operate the systems our clients run their organisations on, across payments, healthcare, retail, property and the public sector.
The engineers who design and build a system are the ones who keep it running afterwards. That is the shape of the whole company, and it is why the roles here look the way they do.
The team
Enterprise engineering. Discovery, architecture, delivery and run for the systems clients operate on.
About the role
A placement scoped so the work ships, on a real engagement and with a named mentor. We take interns when there is genuine work for one.
What you will do
- Work on a scoped piece of a live system alongside the delivery team.
- Pair with an engineer regularly rather than being left to it.
- Take part in reviews, demos and planning.
- Finish with something that went into the product.
What you will bring
- Currently studying computing or a related field.
- Some code you have written outside coursework.
- Availability for a continuous block rather than scattered days.
- Interest in how software is run, not only how it is written.
What we offer
- Ownership of real systems from the first architecture session through to live operation, rather than a slice of someone else's design.
- Direct contact with the people using what you build, with no account layer in between.
- Work delivered in two to four week increments, demonstrated and accepted before the next one starts.
- More than twenty production engines underneath the client systems, so the same problem is rarely solved twice.
We consider every applicant on what they have built and how they work. Tell us about your experience in your own words, and we will come back to you either way.
